As we say farewell to 2015 and move on to a new year, I wanted to share some of the exciting activities and events from December. It was such a busy month!

| The students used Versatiles to practice the use of suffixes -s and -es. They wrote creative winter acrostic poems and cut fancy snowflakes to decorate the bulletin board in the hallway. We shared our favorite holiday traditions on the Padlet on our blog. We wrote thank you notes to the lunch staff. The students sang and danced their hearts and feet out at the Second Grade Winter Concert! And finally, the 2nd graders enjoyed a wonderful presentation by Mr. Neal Nichols Jr. during his Geography Game Show. |

| The students also enjoyed practicing "Read to Someone" during Daily Five. |
They also completed some really amazing and creative dioramas to conclude our study of Realistic Fiction. (More about that project is coming soon!)
