Making Fundations FUN!

This is what our daily Fundations practice looks like.

Sometimes we use Wikki Sticks to drill sounds and spelling.

On other days we use our Gel Boards and special stylus to spell trick words. We are learning second grade trick words and we also review first grade words.

Another activity the students enjoy is using the magnetic letter boards. These boards and magnetic tiles allow the students to practice building words.
Students use their Student Notebooks as a resource for spelling sounds.

Additionally, students use white boards to record sounds, words, and sentences that are dictated to them. They use these boards to mark words and show where they are divided into syllables.

At the end of each unit students are given a skill Check-up in their Composition workbook.
